What is Thermostatic Valve? Why is it used? What are the advantages?

Thermostatic Radiator Valve (TRV) is an automatic radiator valve used instead of manually operated radiator valves in radiator (radiator) heating systems. It consists of the sensor (sensor) and the valve body. Each number on the thermostatic radiator valve sensor corresponds to the room temperature, which can be set in degrees.

TRV constantly senses the room temperature and automatically adjusts the amount of water going to the radiator to keep the room temperature constant at the desired value. When the room temperature reaches the set value, TRV cuts off the hot boiler water entering the radiator, and allows the hot boiler water to enter the radiator when the room temperature drops below the set value. In this way, the thermostatic radiator valve allows you to adjust the room temperature at the desired value, keep it constant and re-adjust it when desired.

What are the Advantages of Using Thermostatic Valves in Radiators?

While thermostatic radiator valves bring the comfort of the room temperature you desire to your home, they detect the effects of heat emitted from external (sun, etc.) and internal (people in the environment, working electrical devices, etc.) sources, increasing the room temperature, and prevent unnecessary room temperature increase. Considering that every 1°C increase in room temperature means 6% more energy consumption, it provides energy savings of up to 30% by preventing unnecessary heating.

Correct Usage Advice:
